Text entered in the editor

The application processes editor text on your device to calculate words, characters, sentences, paragraphs, lines, and time estimates. It does not send that text to an application server, account, or database.

Documents of 100,000 characters or more are counted in a dedicated browser worker so the editor stays responsive. That worker runs on your device, uses the same local counting engine, and does not upload the document.

For refresh recovery, the current draft is stored under mallow-word-counter/draft in this tab's session storage. Reloading the same tab can restore it. Clear removes the stored draft, and the application does not use local storage, a cookie, or a shared URL for your text. Session storage is scoped to the tab session, although browser-specific tab restore or duplication may affect its lifetime. If storage is unavailable, counting continues without recovery.

Browser or operating-system features such as spell checking may follow settings controlled by you and their provider, not by Mallow Word Counter.

If you press Copy text, the application writes the current draft to your device's clipboard. This is a user-requested browser action and does not send the text to the MallowDesk server.

Hosting and technical requests

The site is delivered through Vercel and its content-delivery infrastructure. Like most web hosts, that infrastructure may process routine request information such as an IP address, user agent, requested URL, request time, and security logs to deliver and protect the site. The application does not add its own analytics tracker today.

Fonts and illustrations are served with the site. Mallow Word Counter does not send editor text along with ordinary requests for those files.

Advertising status

Production pages currently include a non-executable Google AdSense account meta tag solely to verify site ownership. A meta tag is not an advertising script: it does not display an ad, set an advertising cookie, or send the text in the editor to Google.

There are currently no AdSense execution scripts, manual ad units, Auto ads, advertising cookies, consent-management platform, or first-party analytics tracker in this application. Before advertising is enabled, the required consent choices and this policy will be updated to match the actual behavior. Links to Mallow Timer, Gensio, or another website open services with their own terms and privacy practices. Mallow Word Counter does not attach editor text to those links.
